THE K.H. STYLEHOUSE DESIGN PROCESS
My goal is to find out what makes you happy when it comes to your home or business. I want to know what items bring you joy, what esthetic you want to lead, and how you dream to use your space. I will help transform your wishes into a beautiful and approachable setting following a five step design process:
EXPLORATION
​
I conduct an interview style consultation to learn how you currently use your space, how you want to use it, and your ideas. This is your opportunity to discuss anything your heart desires about the process, my design style, and allows us to get to know one another to see if I am your perfect fit for you. Last, I will outline the scope of work based on your budget and establish our contract and agreement.
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN & COLLABORATION
​
I will present a concept board and framework for the design of your project. This will include material sampling, imagery, and schematics tailored to your budget. The conception design meeting is an opportunity for you to provide feedback for modifications to ensure I am meeting every expectation.
DEVELOPMENT & PLANNING
​
The design concept in transformed into final specifications and space planning. I will review and meet with your contractor and sub-contractors to build out the project timeline. Design specifications will be communicated and drawn for any custom work including mill work, painting, cabinetry, and furnishings.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
​
Coordination between myself and your contractors is the most important phase of the project. The project management of our work together will include frequent communication and direction to your trades companies and contractor. At each stage of construction and installation I will monitor, and provide reports that your project is on track to the design specifications, budget, and timeline.
INSTALLMENT & COMPLETION
Ready for the big reveal? It’s what you have been waiting for and the reason you are visiting here today. Let me give you the jaw dropping, tears flowing reveal you see on TV. The final stage is the installation and styling of your furnishing and accessories.
